Dermalux Tri Wave MD
LED Light Therapy Memberships
The flexible way to support your skin via Dermalux LED light therapy treatments for repair and rejuvenation
Regular LED treatments support long term skin health
We use the non-invasive Dermalux Tri-Wave MD, a clinical-grade LED device that uses therapeutic light energy to stimulate cellular activity, reduce inflammation, support repair and healing and promote radiant, healthy, younger looking skin.
Three types of light are involved:
- Red light supports cellular repair and renewal to strengthen the skin, encourage healthy ageing and improve overall skin vitality.
- Blue light is anti-inflammatory to reduce inflammation, support healing and target bacteria.
- Infra red light works deeper within the skin to support repair, reduce inflammation and promote long-term skin resilience.
What Dermalux LED light therapy can help with:
- Managing Inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and pigmentation
- Supporting a healthy skin barrier
- Regulating oil production for skin that’s prone to acne or blemishes
- Promoting a more even skin tone and reducing pigmentation
- Improving the texture of the skin and firming the skin
- Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

FAQs about Dermalux LED treatments
Where is this LED membership available?
Treatments take place at The Skin Wytch clinic in Stalybridge, Manchester.
Is Dermalux LED suitable for everyone?
If you have certain health conditions or you're pregnant, LED light therapy with Dermalux Tri-Wave MD may not be suitable for you. This includes cancer, epilepsy/history of seizures, diabetes, autoimmune conditions and some eye conditions.
If you’re taking certain medications or supplements, you may also be unsuitable for these treatments. This includes drugs causing photosensitivity and retinoids, for example.
This is why I always start with a personalised skin consultation to ensure that LED treatments are safe and suitable for you before we agree on the frequency and schedule.
How often should I use LED light therapy?
Weekly sessions are recommended for most clients but we can discuss the optimal schedule and frequency for your skin in a personalised skin consultation.
The LED membership allows up to four sessions per month but it can be paused or adjusted based on your skin’s needs. This allows you to make the LED membership work for you and your skin.
Why don’t you recommend one-off LED treatments?
LED light therapy works by supporting the skin’s natural repair and regulation processes. Consistent sessions help your skin to function at its best, supporting barrier health, calming inflammation and promoting a radiant, resilient appearance.
This is why LED light therapy is most effective when used regularly. One-off treatments can help in the short term but the best long term results come from supporting your skin over time (and being consistent with the correct skin care at home too!).
Why 4 sessions per month?
This is the optimal number of treatments per month for most clients to see results.
Do unused LED sessions roll over to another month?
If you don’t use all 4 treatments in a particular month, these can’t be rolled over to another month and ‘banked’ for the future.
Is LED light therapy uncomfortable?
Dermalux LED treatments are painless and many clients find them very relaxing and therapeutic.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
LED treatments are suitable for sensitive skin.
Is there any downtime associated with Dermalux LED treatments?
No downtime at all, meaning you can get on with your day after an LED treatment has finished. You can also apply your skin care products afterwards.
How should I prepare for my LED treatment?
Please arrive to your LED treatment with clean skin. If you want to use your regular skin care products after the LED treatment, please bring them with you to the appointment.
